An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist contractor who are responsible for an array of outstanding contemporary timber structures. Having enjoyed continued and stable growth this business now looks to employee its first full time Quantity Surveyor.

You can expect to work closely with the Managing Director and also enjoy input to estimating and buying functions. This is the perfect opportunity for a Graduate with 3-5 years post qualification experience to work at the cutting edge of modern construction.

The Role:

  • Working on projects from £200k - £5M
  • Commercial management of projects
  • Tracking variations and raising final accounts
  • Occasional travel to clients and projects (London bias)
  • Supporting the chief estimator in pre-construction costing and tenders
  • Input to the buying process in negotiating the best possible rates form suppliers
  • Providing clear and accurate cost reporting on live projects


The Person:

  • A genuine passion and commitment to construction innovation
  • A degree in quantity surveying or construction cost management
  • Proven track record of cost management and Quantity Surveying, preferably form a specialist sub-contracting background
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of specialist contracting within the UK Construction sector
  • A 'project mentality' driven by a desire to succeed and make significant contributions to an award winning team
  • A strong team ethic and willingness to the get the job done


The Package:

  • A salary of £34,000 - £37,500
  • Holiday allowance & Auto enrolment pension scheme
