Senior Engineer (NIGHTS)- Fitout - Major Station Upgrade
Carmichael are delighted to be recruiting for one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in Europe; we are keen to hear from you if you have construction fit-out experience and are looking for your next freelance contract on one of London's most prestigious station upgrade projects. This project is expected to last another year and you will benefit from market competitive rates whilst working for one of the industry's leading contractors.
You will be working NIGHT SHIFT (7:30pm - 6am) on a Major Station Upgrade project responsible for delivery of the interior / exterior fit-out process for the duration of the contract. This contract will involve weekend work and blockade shifts over Christmas and New Years with uplifted rates rates to match the anti-social hours.
As a Senior Engineer for this scope of works, your duties will include:
* Assist the Nights Agent on the fit out works within the new station
* Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments
* Managing the fit out sub contractors and site engineers
* Carrying out quality inspections
* Liaison between the Site Agent and client on site
* Produce ITPs and as builds
* Planning weekly and monthly programmes

* Have previously worked within the fit out and civils sectors
* Previously worked as an Senior Engineer (preferably with a main contractor)
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements and risk assessments
* Hold a construction related degree or HNC
* Hold a valid CSCS Card
