Architectural Technician - £20 per hour - public sector - ongoing - great opportunity for career development - Derbyshire

You will have a great opportunity to work for a public sector organisation in the Education arena - initially an ongoing temporary assignment with potential for permanent work for an experienced architectural technician. This is an excellent opportunity for you to grow your career in an exciting organisation as an architectural technician.

Job Role

You will be responsible for the management and control of resources in line with procurement and delivery of major projects including new build and refurb on schools projects.

As an experienced architectural technician you will be responsible for professional duties inline with the management of projects in line with legislation and requirements and work towards improving standards. You will manage external professionals on the different projects assigned to you and a responsibility for auditing these teams and the design teams.

You will be responsible for technical accountability ensuring tasks are planned, managed and executed effectively. You will be responsible for practical research and investigation carried out effectively for new buildings and existing buildings for PPM and capital works.

This role is initially an ongoing temporary assignment but could lead to a more permanent role.

Person

You will be experienced in a similar role as an architectural technician working on schools projects. You will be confident in managing projects in a public sector environment.

You will be experienced in using packages such as:

  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft office products
  • NBS
  • Sketchup (desirable)
