Our client has been providing permanent build in modular format, providing new schools and school expansions for a number of years exceeding the performance of traditional build with the speed of modular. Whilst they have relationships with the surrounding local authorities of the Midlands, recent expansion in the manufacturing facilities is allowing growth into contracts across the whole of the UK.
The Role:
The company has a vacancy for a CAD Technician/Specifier to join the existing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience and will have a proven track record of designing and specifying buildings from concept to project delivery. Including the provision of full packages including drawings, specifications and bills of material to allow the manufacture and delivery of modular buildings and houses.
Duties:
: Review and assess client information
: Produce plan, elevation and sectional drawings to accompany sales packages to clients
: Produce detailed specifications to accompany sales packages to clients
: Source building materials and provide samples to clients and planners as required
: Assist in submitting planning applications together with all required information
: Submit Building Regulation applications and provide all supporting documentation dealing with queries as they arise
: Produce production drawings for manufacture including detailed plan drawings, component drawings, construction drawings and bills of materials
Requirements:
: Have suitable qualification to HND level
: At least 2 years experience in the construction industry
: Be fully conversant with a CAD/ BIM drawing package
: Fully literate in Microsoft packages particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
: Understand Building Regulations and regulatory design parameters
: Have an eye for detail
: Have an adaptable can do outlook and approach to work
