A tier one principal contractor requires a Document Controller to join their team on a permanent basis to work on the High Speed 2 project. This is part of the Align JV that is responsible for delivering the £965m Chiltern Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct contract between London & Birmingham.


As Document controller you will; Be responsible in assisting the quality team in the setup, management and maintenance of the Electronic Document Management Systems. Maintaining relationships with team members, designers and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction is continued throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensuring documentation is compliant with requirements and supporting the Quality Manager on quality related matters.

The role will be based in Central London.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience of using Enterprise Bridge Eb, Project Wise, Business Collaborator or similar EDMS
Document Number Requests Documentation Reporting Download Documents from Documentum Facilitate, maintain and update Document Management System throughout project delivery lifecycle.
Produce and maintain document registers relevant to preconstruction projects. Assist in compilation of monthly Quality KPIs. Undertake any other duties, within reason, which will assist a project manager in delivering a project to an exceptional standard. Issue and receive controlled documentation, log issues and receivers, and create general electronic transmittals to the project, customer and suppliers. Assist with quality checks and audits of document databases, identifying and correcting any anomalies
Ensure team compliance with project document control and project document numbering procedures

Attributes and Skills:

Ability to manage a given list of tasks.
Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
Some knowledge of construction practices
Good writing, analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to handle situations and problem.
Know when to ask for help and guidance
