Front Line Manager

Location: Falkirk

Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a Front Line Manager, who will report to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a business unit within the division to ensure the best client and customer service is delivered in a safe efficient and cost effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a business unit within the division to ensure the best client and customer service is delivered in a safe efficient and cost effective manner
  • Implement and comply with Kier's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within Kier Group's including regular safety inspections within the allocated business area
  • Manage the allocated business area including profit and loss
  • Contribute to the development of the business area budget and reforecasts
  • Deliver team briefings
  • Produce written communication to all staff
  • Compile reports
  • Investigatory report writing
  • Support the development and maintenance of a well-motivated delivery team (including operatives and sub-contractors)
  • Experience in negotiating with staff representatives and unions where necessary
  • Engage with third parties and the wider community to present a professional and positive image of Kier
  • Ensure that contractual requirements are monitored and targets delivered. Ensure that potential problems are identified and resolved at the earliest opportunity and escalated where appropriate

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Holds the relevant qualifications
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Able to demonstrate and apply an appropriate level of knowledge and technical expertise
  • Use a breadth of knowledge to run and support tasks in your team and across teams
  • Understand commercial issues which impact on your role, team and business, performance and productivity
