I am recruiting for an experienced Section Manager for a main contractor for a station upgrade in the East of England. The project is rail based and therefore experience of working in this industry is required, especially experience around station upgrades.

The correct applicant should have the following knowledge and competencies;

  • Can communicate information to site teams
  • Is capable of supervising a team of engineers
  • Suitable CSCS qualification and PTS required
  • HND minimum, degree preferable
  • Experience in similar role with major rail experience e.g. Crossrail Station Upgrades.

The opportunity will include;

  • Monitoring progress against the main programme
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Ensuring the site remains in a good, safe condition
  • Ensuring that all inspections and safety checks are carried out (including temporary works)
  • Compiling the health & safety file information as work progresses
  • Ensuring the works are inspected and approved by the client throughout the construction phase
