Kier Infrastructure is looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant who will contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to the Infrastructure business, providing dedicated support to Infrastructure Finance Team.

The role whilst finance and cash focussed will provide excellent exposure to the wider business predominantly in the commercial space.

We are looking for an individual who is very keen to progress, bring their own insight and experience to the role and has a desire to drive improvements.

Cash flow forecasting and monitoring

  • Key aspects of the role will be assisting with the preparation of cash management reports and reconciliations to forecast
  • Preparation of cash flow analysis with narrative explaining key cash movements each month
  • Liaising with Finance Shared Service Centre to understand timing of payments and receipts
  • Liaise with the Commercial staff to understand the timing of key payments and receipts


Finance, Planning and Analysis

  • Assist the Commercial Accountant with analysis of project performance and work in progress positions


Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for review with the Finance Manager/Commercial Accountant


Finance Team Support

  • Support the wider Finance team by providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as and when required.
  • Preparing journals
  • Any other reasonable tasks as required.


Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of Oracle desirable
  • Previous experience of cash management and reporting essential
  • Previous experience of challenging and developing new processes
  • Previous experience of Construction company desirable
  • Part Qualified Accountant individual who is keen to progress
  • Excellent analytical, excel and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in a finance assistant role
