If so then I have the vacancy for you. I require a Site Manager to aid in the completion of a road resurfacing project. The position will be entirely site based and you will need to be in Jersey to start work on the 4th of January.
The Role - Site Manager
The project is a 20,000 m2 Resurfacing Project which is arranged into 12 phases over a duration of 10 weeks which will include Sunday working. Once the Contract is complete there will be a period of one to two weeks of closing the project down and gathering all information for the Health and Safety File. The works involved are milling, laying Binder and Surface Course and small civil works such as Utility cover replacement/adjustment, drainage, kerbing etc.
The criteria dictated is;
- Qualified Engineer or Project Manager.
- Ensuring works are constructed in accordance with the works information.
- Able to co-ordinate and manage the work force.
- Ability to manage sub-contractors.
- Ability to produce, develop and manage the programme to ensure that all resources are managed efficiently and site works are executed in the shortest time frame.
- Ensure works are undertaken in a safe manner.
In addition to the above you will need to be able to manage the office side of the contract i.e. compiling the required documentation such as weekly progress reports, give the site Engineer direction of duties.
The client will provide a Flight in or Ferry crossing, return flight after 6 weeks and a flight out or Ferry crossing, we will also provide accommodation in a Hotel with breakfast and a mobile phone.
The candidate should supply his own transport, evening meal and a laptop.
