A major main contractor currently has a requirement for a Planning Engineer to be predominantly site-based on construction projects based between Bedford and North London. Initially working on two £15m schemes currently on site within the region, your primary role will be working on live schemes as the Primary Planner, responsible for creating and maintaining detailed programmes, updating/monitoring progress, progress reporting, stakeholder management, etc. You will work on the occasional tender but your primary role will be site-based on anything from a commercial office refurbishment to a mixed-use new build scheme, typically worth up to c£30m each, in locations such as Stevenage, Luton, Cambridge, St Albans and North London.
Our client continues to go from strength to strength; winner of several employer-related awards, they have already virtually secured their turnover for 2017, with a strong order book for 2018. They are responsible for numerous large scale, landmark schemes that have taken place across the London region in the last decade.
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following experience:
- At least 2/3 years planning experience within the UK construction sector, ideally capable of running own jobs.
- Relevant engineering/construction degree.
- Flexible to travel across the Northern Home Counties/North London region.
- Proficient with Asta Powerproject software.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
