Trainee Signalling Designer Kier Signalling is looking to appoint a Trainee Signalling Designer.

Responsibilities:
  • To undertake complex signalling design and checking with minimal rework in accordance with your signalling competency.
  • To produce and check signalling specifications and other relevant documentation.
  • To undertake and manage IDC checks associated with signalling design.
  • Undertake role of Lead Engineer when required and within your skill level.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Conform to internal corporate rules, processes and/or procedures.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • Maintain an IRSE log book which will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
  • To assist as required or instructed, the Design Manager in the execution of his duties.
  • Provide input in the compilation, review or approval of Quality Management System documentation.
  • Complete timesheets on a weekly basis.
  • Adhere to all statutory regulations, client standards or specifications where appropriate.
  • To assist other colleagues in achieving their IRSE design licences. Mentoring or Training.
  • Use a variety of IT packages to undertake your design duties.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold IRSE Principal Designers Licence or demonstrate that working towards it.
  • Up to date IRSE Log Book.
  • Membership of the IRSE.
  • IRSE Principle Designer's Licence.
  • Registered Engineer.
  • HND / BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
