Title: Delivery Resource Manager

Location: Norwich


Working under the Lead Delivery Manager the candidate will be responsible for successful delivery of projects that have been designed and priced through management of a direct and sub-contracted workforce. The role will require the Delivery Manager to deliver these by complying with IOS governance and processes specifically; Project Management, Health & Safety and Commercial. The candidate will manage a delivery team including; Site Managers, Site Team Leaders and Teams and Subcontractors.


Key Responsibilities:

· Utilise the skills and knowledge of all team members- encourage an environment of continuous improvement. Support Site Managers and Site Team Leaders to maintain team energy and focus when work is difficult and results hard to achieve. Provide guidance to less experienced team members; assist with the mentoring and development of staff to reach their maximum potential. Provide feedback to the Management Team for one-to-one performance reviews of Design, Commercial and other Support staff.

· Maintain excellent communications with the Project engineer on technical issues and the Lead Delivery Manager on all issues. Recognise and report key issues before they become problems. Maintain the Performance Board - utilise the board to keep the team updated about progress against objectives.

· Continuously engage with the client and Project Engineers to ensure the project is being completed as required.

· Ensure that design output is aligned with construction activity and delivered on time and vice versa.

· Work with the Site Managers and Site Team Leaders to monitor technical teams progress on all required deliverables - advise the Lead Delivery Manager and Programme Manager of any deviation from schedule or budget. Ensure regular production meetings take place and chair when necessary. Keep track of all scope changes and ensure that the change control process and technical query process are adhered to on all projects.

· Complete sick leave reviews and return to work interviews

· Liaison with area operational managers, providing assurance and updates, dealing with issues, disputes and ensuring handover is well done.

· Be accountable for the delivery of the project to budget and design and report any deviations to Programme Manager

· Be responsible for ensuring the change control and early warning process is followed. Manage and record all change.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

· Education to Degree level in appropriate craft or engineering discipline

· Operational Water or Water Recycling experience

· People management/motivation skills

· Budget management skills

· Knowledge and Experience of dealing with contractors

· Experience in delivering projects to schedules and on budgetary targets

· Strong negotiating skills

· Understanding of water industry standards and regulations

· Strong cost and risk based analysis skills

· Basic understanding of the regulatory processes that govern AW's IOS Delivery
