About the Company: Breedon Group plc is the largest independent construction materials group in the UK. They operate the country's largest cement plant, two cement import terminals, around 60 quarries, 26 asphalt plants, 200 ready-mixed concrete & mortar plants and three concrete block plants, employing around 2,300 people nationwide.
Job description:
Breedon Southern is seeking a dynamic SHE Advisor to support the south and east areas of its business. The ideal candidate needs to be confident, a strong communicator with the ability to influence people and win hearts and minds when it comes to safety, health and the environment. In addition, candidates should also have:
- A NEBOSH diploma/certificate or equivalent H&S qualification
- Good working knowledge of SHE legislation
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within the quarrying or construction materials sector
- A working knowledge of ISO management systems
- Full clean driving licence
The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional management team and will have the opportunity to support the Head of SHE in developing elements of the SHE management system, so good communication, literacy and IT skills are essential.
