Our client is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis on the High Speed 2 project.

It is responsible for delivering a £965m section of the new High Speed Rail link between London and Birmingham. 22km project is from Ruislip to South Heath in Buckinghamshire. This consists of 15.8km twin Chiltern Tunnels and 3.4km Colne Valley Viaduct.

They have an opportunity for a person with proven ability to manage, supervise and execute extensive ground investigation works with further opportunities in major earthworks and piling foundation works.

The work will involve:

Managing ground investigation relating to tunnelling and earth moving operations in the Chiltern area.

The Person - Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Detailed knowledge of ground investigations

Knowledge of QSE in the UK and chalks

Minimum 5-10 years' experience

Background in tunnelling, foundation, earthworks, ground treatment and grouting works desirable
