Sales Manager - Softwood / Engineered Wood Products
Basic salary between £40,000 to £50,000 + Bonus + Car
Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds, York, Scarborough, UK

* Opportunity to sell traditional softwoods, engineered wood product and timber components
* Major player with excellent levels of customer service
You will be based ideally on or near the M62 corridor but with a remit to develop business on a UK basis. You will have a product range that includes bulk softwood (redwood and whitewood) and engineered wood products that you will sell to both large and medium sized Timber Importers, Timber and Planing Mills, Medium sized Merchants and large regional based Wood distributors.
The position has been created due to the promotion of what was the incumbent who has been with the business for 5 years into a much more senior role which means that the regions have been very well worked but with the potential for more growth.
We seek a minimum of 3 years in softwood sales. At this level our client would not see you as the finished article but somebody who would require development (which they offer). At 5 years your remuneration expectations will be at the top end of the salary offered and you would be expected to hit the ground running.
This is a business that we have been closely associated with over the last 6 years and can vouch for the quality of their management team and that people that we have placed are in place and in one particular case has undergone a significant promotion. A quality company through and through..
Benefits:
Basic salary to £50,000 dependent on experience
A matrix bonus system: 40% self (volume and pricing), 30% on achieving development objectives and 30% Wood Division achieving its targets.
