A freelance post exists with a well respected civils company for a Site Manager starting as soon as possible in Buckinghamshire. This position is initially for 2 months, however there is a high chance of it being extended as this company continues to win work on the package.
The Role:
The Site Manager will be responsible for the management of the enabling works site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers' objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. They will deliver on-going projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The post-holder will work closely with the Estimating Department, engineers and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will have;
- Have experience/knowledge working with landscaping & construction contracts.
- 5 years minimum experience of managing medium to large projects, along with experience in the management of Health & Safety.
- Excellent Leadership Skills and strong experience in running teams including handling sub-contractors.
- Confident communicator
- Reading and accurately interpreting programmes, drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent customer and business communication skills.
- A professional degree/qualification.
- SMSTS / SSSTS.
- First Aid
- CSCS Gold Card preferred
- Good knowledge in using MS Office.
- Fluent in English.
