My client, a main contractor, is seeking a Section Engineer to boost their team. Working as Section Engineer for part of the offshore scope of works, you will be delivering one of the most complex elements of this high-profile scheme.
Key tasks will include:
- Detailed planning of a section of the offshore scope of works, including preparing RAMS, ITPs and Lift Plans
- Supporting the implementation of the 'targeted risk monitoring' safety inspection programme for the offshore scope of works
- Liaising with the offshore works manager to ensure works are adequately planned and resourced
- Reviewing daily progress reports from the offshore vessels and ensuring delays are adequately captured in commercial correspondence
- Production of 3-week programmes to ensure accurate and timely submission to the client
- Preparing ITPs to ensure that works are planned and carried out in accordance with the specification, and assisting with reviewing lifetime records
- Raising technical queries or non-conformances as required
- Ordering materials to specification and budget, ensuring that these are delivered on time to support the works
Key Responsibilities:
- All work carried out to Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Liaise with subcontract engineers and management.
- Liaise and build strong working relationships with client and their representatives.
- Ensure works are planned and carried out in accordance with the authorised method statements and risk assessments,
- Works are completed to programme, and any delays mitigated or captured in appropriate commercial correspondence.
- Ensure that daily records are kept for work performed.
- Verify daily checks of plant and equipment etc. are completed and recorded as necessary.
- Prepare and deliver daily briefings, or attend subcontractor briefings on behalf of the client
- Ensure works are planned and carried out to the drawing, specification and are captured on appropriate ITPs.
- Ensure materials are used correctly and waste is minimised.
Key Aims
- Ensure safety procedures are complied with and that company SHE targets are met.
- Ensure quality targets are met.
- To ensure the scheme is delivered to the target cost
- Ensure the Overall Programme is reduced and sectional programme completion dates are achieved
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
- CCSCS card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Full UK driving license and the right to work in the UK
