The Responsibilities of the Technical Manager firstly full responsibilities for 8 Plants throughout the West Midlands
KEY RESULT AREAS
Establish and agree with the Regional Technical Manager the resource levels and operational budgets required to maintain the agreed quality standards.
Manage the implementation, operation and maintenance of compliance with the detailed standard technical procedures.
Manage and maintain resource levels and standards in order to fulfil the requirements of our customers and meet each agreed quality standard.
Manage and direct the area technical teams to achieve the optimum performance levels agreed with the Regional Technical Manager and Regional General Manager.
Provide advice and guidance on material sourcing and performance to Regional General Manager through the performance of structured cost and technical analysis of each material combination proposed for use.
Manage the operation and maintenance of systems to ensure all material and mix data is current and valid.
Within each material combination determine the relative cost efficiency of each mix type and provide to the commercial staff clear unambiguous instructions regarding the cost efficiency of each and what should be offered to customers.
Monitor and review the regions variable costs, advise operational staff of the need to resolve excessive, unusual or unexplained variances providing support where required. Liaise with the Regional General Manager to ensure full awareness of all such events.
Provide technical reports and K.P.I. data at the required times and circulate to the nominated managers.
Provide product knowledge training for all commercial and operational staff to the standard set by the Division.
Provide detailed induction and technical training for all new technical staff
Carry out routine internal audits as directed by the annual audit schedule.
Report all procedure deficiencies to the Regional Technical and Quality Assurance Managers.
Provide comprehensive support to the area teams for the speedy investigation, reporting and resolution of all complaints.
