The Role
This client expect great things from their Forensic Electrical Engineer. You will be joining a team of industry renowned and nationally recognised engineers, scientists and business innovators with in-depth expertise - you will not only devise and deliver a range of qualitative and quantitative engineering risk management solutions but you will also be an integral part of the senior management team implementing the company's strategy, both in promoting and delivering services in addition to contributing to the internal development of the company. You will be encouraged to be a 'thought leader' within your chosen field positively seeking out opportunities to write and speak about your ideas and experience. It is therefore assumed that you will be a good team player, able to adopt a collaborative approach to problem solving and possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral). In more detail it is anticipated that the Forensic Electrical Engineer will undertake: Operational Prepare, draft, and present expert witness reports in your engineering/scientific discipline. Take and act on instructions from legal, financial and/or insurance professionals and to provide expert advice and attend court as and when necessary to provide expert testimony (subject to appropriate training and support). Lead engineering consulting projects which develop and implement client requirements. Assist clients with technical analyses and designs to improve existing processes and equipment. Manage project work to be in compliance with relevant engineering and safety regulations and use engineering standards and specifications in the design and implementation of projects. Manage highly complex projects and perform engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs as required. Develop innovative solutions to solve challenging technical issues. Act as a lead in root cause analysis and make recommendations to address local and system-wide problems. Technical Investigate failures of industrial electrical equipment. In particular, investigation of accidents resulting in electrically related injuries sustained as a result of electrical equipment failure/ electrical installation Develop technical policies, procedures, and contribute to the development of internal and external standards, specifications, and guidelines. Proactively maintain technical knowledge and know-how and undertake internal technical training seminars Management and Business Development Delegate work effectively whilst retaining overall accountability. Allocates suitable roles to individuals within a team for optimum performance. Seeks out new business opportunities and undertakes proactive business development. Represents Finch at external industry events, committees, trade organisations and other business development/marketing opportunities. Externally, you will be expected to establish and maintain good relations with clients and representatives in third party organisations.
