Our client is a well established and leading national vovational training provider. Currently seeks an Automotive Tutor with HV and LV competency.
Below teaching skills/experience aside, this client may consider candidates without training/teaching experience. In these case, they would be looking for solid automotive (HV/LV) experience up to supervisory level.
Purpose of Role:
To develop, prepare and deliver training to learners, to professional bodies' standards
To ensure the learners are retained and reach the appropriate level to pass course work and assessments in line with contractual targets
Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role:
Design and develop product in line with industry/Professional Bodies contractual standards or Government curriculum
Delivery of training to industry/Professional Bodies contractual standards. Provide a stimulating environment for the achievement of learning
Support learners to raise their personal skill levels, confidence and self-esteem to ensure professional body contractual targets for successful learners is achieved within timescales
Support and guide learners to find suitable work placements
To ensure all regulatory HAS standards are maintained during training delivery
May be required to assess learners for QCFs, technical certificates and or basic/key skills either directly or indirectly
To ensure company and other regulatory bodies quality standards are maintained or exceeded.
Participate in and actively support the maintenance of a culture free of discrimination
In line with the relevant legislation individuals will proactively safeguard and promote the welfare of learners
Providing Information, Advice and Guidance to all customers to enable them to make informed decisions to meet their goals and objectives
Person Specification:
Ideal Criteria Required:
Established experience of working in a relevant vocational area.
Knowledge of pre-set databases/internet for computer based lessons and exams and on line testing
UEI/IMI/City and Guilds/NVQ/HNC or Degree level in professional discipline
CEFET, FAETC Teaching qualification or established teaching experience in an adult educational environment
D32 & D33 or A1 Assessing qualification and teaching qualification in line with the 2007 teaching and learning regulations (ie PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS)
E-mail systems, MS Word, Excel, Outlook at basic level. PowerPoint at intermediate level
