We are looking for a Trainee Roof Truss Designers / Design Technicians to join a successful business specialising in the manufacture and supply of a range of engineered wood products, working on self-build, residential, leisure and commercial and education and healthcare projects.
Your role as a Trainee Designer will primarily involve:
:: Producing drawings for manufacture
:: Assisting in the provision of effective commercial solutions which will include not only designs but also quotations
:: Providing support and advice to your customers and your colleagues in production
You will need to have the following:
:: HND/HND or Degree or an equivalent qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or Architecture or similar
:: Bags of enthusiasm tempered with a highly organised and disciplined approach, and a wish to work to continuously improve yourself and your work
:: A knowledge of, and a very real passion for technical design - AutoCAD knowledge is ESSENTIAL
:: Good numerical skills and attention to detail
:: Strong communication skills
