Assistant HR Business Partner
Location: Loughton, Essex
Kier Construction London is looking to recruit an Assistant HR Business Partner. The post holder will support in shaping and delivering the people plan for the business. This role will have a strong focus on guiding and advising key stakeholders to ensure the application of excellent people practices throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with customers to implement Kier Group HR policies, procedures and values
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - know the people and understand the' health' of the business
Support employee relations activity; provide management with advice and support in disciplinary, grievance and appeal situations, including support in meetings and active case management
Provide best practice and proactive advice to the business - actively manage and advise on absence, liaising with Occupational Health professionals as appropriate
Proactively manage organisational restructures, supporting HRBPs in more complex cases including TUPE situations
Facilitate the recruitment and assessment of talent into the business by supporting HRBPs and recruiting managers
Assist HRBPs with the implementation of effective plans to enhance employee engagement in the business area
Maximise staff capability and competency in the business by providing managers advice on development and performance management
Work with our HR Shared Service to provide appropriate people management information to inform and drive business performance and to provide seamless transactional support to the business
Key Skills and Qualifications:
HR professional with experience advising across a broad range of HR issues
Good working knowledge of employment law, HR policies and procedures and organisational restructuring
Experience advising and supporting disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings.
Experience advising and supporting managers in attendance management cases through to conclusion
Knowledge of recruitment processes and understanding of Taleo is desirable
Proven ability and confidence to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
Strong team player and the ability to work across teams
Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to multitask and a personal desire to drive change and make things happen
Strong focus on continuing professional development with the desire to learn and develop further
CIPD qualified or part qualified is desirable
