Package - £50-55k basic bonus £15,000 Car, pension 24 days hols

The Opportunity

Taking a well established name forward is a great opportunity, with a healthy and impressive client list this client needs a structured sales management professional to lead the team into further growth. This role of Sales Manager will allow the MD to manage the business processes and have a more defined sales and marketing focus. They have a strong presence in their sector where they design and manufacture.

The Sales Manager will be a member of the UK senior management team and will be accountable for the sales process, ensuring a highly effective and productive sales team, that sales leads are converted in to profitable orders, ensuring effective pipeline management, building up key accounts and working closely with the Business Development Managers, ensuring sales targets are achieved.

Role

Functional responsibility for Sales on the Company Management Team - pipeline management, converting leads into sales, meeting team and individual targets

Be heavily involved with the MD and other Management Team members in setting the culture and strategic direction of the business

Assist the MD and other Management Team members in leading strategy and change initiatives with a democratic and highly participate and consultative management style

Effectively lead and manage the Sales team within the business and be a highly visible presence

Inspire, motivate and develop the team to achieve required performance levels

Formulate and implement departmental and organisational policies and procedures to maximise sales and profitability

Develop and implement the Training Plan for the Sales team

Work cooperatively with Operations, Business Development generating leads and Finance to the benefit of the company as a whole, in order to secure new customers and develop existing ones

Coach direct reports to develop and strengthen the Sales team, ensuring their continuous professional development

Quickly establish credibility within the business, and gain the confidence of the UK leadership team

Full accountability for meeting sales targets through the Regional Sales team

Work closely with the business development and marketing team who are generating leads through telesales and other activities and building brand awareness

Build strong regional relationships with large key customers supplying building services to buoyant market sectors, such as schools building programme, education, hospitals, pharmaceutical industry etc.

Work closely with business development in building key accounts nationally with large customers, including building contractors, architects as well as end users such as retailers.
