We are working with a company who are the leading UK player in creating beautiful buildings for leisure, second home and clients looking to downsize following the "empty nest". They need a Design Manager with a true creative flair, who will be working on the architectural design to maintain a current and desirable product range, running a small design team. You will also be working closely with the Sales Managers to maintain a constant flow of drawings to assist them with winning orders and managing the interior design process, ensuring demanding deadlines are met.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be taking briefs for each special project and managing each design project from start to completion. Using AutoCAD Architecture, you will be drawing initial floor plans and elevations and using SketchUp, creating internal and external visuals as well as full video "walk throughs". As the product progresses through production, you will be attending production meetings and may be required on the shop floor to solve technical/design issues.

Your role will also include the sourcing of new innovative products, ensuring the company maintains its position as a market leader and ensuring new designs suit current trends. As part of the Sales team, you will be involved in creating full presentations for your colleagues, attend industry shows and exhibitions as well as new product launches.
