This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in North Nottinghamshire commutable from Mansfield, Kirkby in Ashfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottingham, Newark, Worksop, Chesterfield, Alfreton, Matlock and Derby. Paying £37,500 + overtime & shift premium + bonus, (OTE £40K+) + fantastic pension & health care; working for a highly successful and long established manufacturer of products for use in the construction industry.

The Role
This challenging Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role will be working rotating shifts of 6am - 4pm and 12pm - 10pm (+ occasional weekend work) and will be responsible for day to day engineering support on a fully automated plant. This will include fault finding, repairs, light fabrication, welding, and working on continuous improvement projects. You will be working as part of a small team working closely with 1 other mechanical engineer and an electrical engineer, you will be a driving force in developing the site preventative maintenance strategy. Day to day involvements will include: day to day breakdowns, ordering spares, developing PM strategy including being instrumental in setting up a computerised system, assisting on electrical breakdowns, hydraulics, pneumatics, tool making, welding and health & safety.
The Candidate
The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have a strong mechanical maintenance background and be time served / have a relevant mechanical qualification. You will need to have experience of working in an automated production environment and some electrical fault finding skills (familiarity with Allen-Bradley / Siemens S7) would be highly advantageous.
