The Role

As a Façade Engineer, you will be required to lead various complex projects across a variety of different mediums. You will see projects through from start to end and will have the opportunity to build relationships with clients. You will have an eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with your fellow team members.

The opportunity is for a Structural Facade Engineer to join a highly skilled and bespoke team in a growing and evolving business. They take a creative collaborative process on all projects and are expanding their facade division.

The Facade Engineer will have a good understanding of Building Physics and thermal modelling experience. You will have worked on facade interface connections be able to design by hand, and with 2D and 3D Software packages.

Required:

  • Experience in Façade engineering design
    Material knowledge and installation techniques.
    Preliminary Designs, Detailed Design, Calculation and Reports.
    Engineering Degree or equivalent.
    Work closely with Associates and Partners on investigations, research into technical matters, providing briefing notes and contributing to the preparation of reports on investigations.
  • Work closely with Associates and Partners to run and/or assist in project work and remedial works from inception to completion as required
  • Attend site and take photographs, sketches and measurements of relevant matters, liaising with technical staff to produce records of such visits.
  • Liaise internally with Drawing Office, Administrative staff and Associates and Partners, and externally with contractors, building owners, tenants and clients in due course to arrange site visits, sample testing, opening up works and the like.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, assisting Associates and Partners. Draft concise and accurate meeting notes as required.
