The Deliver Manager will work alongside the Planning and Network Managers in providing a safe, efficient, customer focused service for all Alliance partners. The role has responsibility for managing the Field Supervisors, Network Technicians, repair teams and all resources required to provide a service 24/7/365
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and safety of the Alliance operations.
- Adequate resource availability at all times to deliver the service, including but not limited transport, plant, small tools, consumables, aggregates, water works materials.
- Maintain all documentation in accordance with company procedures and contribute to ongoing improvement in line with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
- Management of a suitable standby rota to provide the necessary response to reactive works 24/7/365.
- Work closely with the Planning Manager regarding field staff levels required to meet peaks and troughs.
- Ensure operational activities comply with requirements of New Roads and Streetworks Act and Traffic Management Act.
- Ensure the quality of information from all is monitored and improvement plans implemented as necessary.
- Thoroughly investigate and review all accidents, near misses and hazards and present the findings to the Alliance with root cause analysis and proposals for improvement in process, systems and behaviour.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure work is carried out with minimum impact, including but not limited to The Environment Agency, Highway Authorities, local Councils, community groups, businesses.
- Work closely with the Network Asset manager to develop and plan network improvement works and ensure every opportunity is taken to maintain continuity of supply.
- Work closely with the Area Manager to deliver all elements of the Alliance scope including but not limited to DWS, New Connection and Metering activity.
- Support the delivery of the all ODI targets through careful management of resource and targeted completion of specific activities.
- Develop a flexible team with an enthusiastic approach to crisis management and changing priorities.
- Work with the Area Manager to plan and organisation of all resources in the operational area. Coordination of Alliance staff, contract teams, working methods, resources and systems to meet outcome requirements.
- Ensure best practice is employed and shared through Alliance with other managers and technical experts across the company.
- Ensure that the Quality Management System is effectively maintained.
- Maintain and develop the competency of staff under his/her management to ensure regulatory and business requirements are met and continuous improvement achieved
- Degree/HND in a recognised subject with experience in the Water Industry
- HNC in recognised subject
- Recognised Management Qualification
- Experience in safely managing multi-disciplined teams in a customer focused environment.
- A strong individual with the ability to drive a delivery team with safety embedded in their behaviours.
- Management Skills - able to lead delivery of the day to day service required by the Alliance.
- Ability to assess risk and implement processes that eliminate, mitigate and control.
