We're a leading property, residential, construction and services group, which invests in, builds, maintains and renews the places where we work, live and play. We operate across a range of sectors including defence, education, housing, industrials, power, transport and utilities. Due to the continuing growth we're recruiting a Resourcing Business Partner to join our busy Resourcing Team. The post holder will ensure that all live roles have an agreed recruitment plan which is delivered to a high standard; candidates should go away from their interview, regardless of outcome, feeling positive and inspired by Kier and its opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting the right person into the right job within an agreed timeframe
- Deliver a high quality and proactive in-house recruitment service
- Develop strong relationships with customers across Kier Group Services and work collaboratively with HR colleagues across teams
- Provide expert advice to hiring managers on the most effective way to recruit their vacancy and agree recruitment plans
- Build a high-quality candidate pipeline for forthcoming recruitment campaigns
- Drive down recruitment costs
- Advertise using a variety of recruitment sources, including direct sourcing, Kier website, job boards, referrals, social media, and specialist agencies where necessary
- Negotiate reduced rates with agencies where their use is necessary and maintain a PSL
- Keep the candidate management system (Taleo) up to date
- Monitor and record all recruitment costs and other recruitment data for regular updates and management reporting
- Shortlist and interview candidates - both by phone and face to face
- Make verbal offers of employment to successful candidates
- Support and/or facilitate trainee assessment days
- Attend careers events where appropriate
Individual:
- Ability to directly source candidates.
- Exceptionally rounded recruitment experience, working across a range of junior to senior appointments gained in a fast paced, dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills at multiple levels across a range of functions
- Be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills - verbal (telephone and in-person) and written.
- Excellent time management, co-ordination skills and ability to prioritise workloads to ensure end to end delivery.
- Confident user of MS Office and candidate tracking system and social media tools.
