- Manage a 'SMARTWaste' email account. This account acts as a repository for all SMARTWaste queries and for the submission of project registration forms, environmental permits, waste exemption notifications and waste carrier registration certificates (authorisations).
- Register all new projects on SMARTWaste.

- Enter targets for energy, water and waste
- Where necessary, on behalf of project teams, begin steps 1, 2, 3 and 6
- Manage the waste contractor database including:

- Ensuring that received copies of all authorisations are legible
- Ensuring that full copies of all authorisations have been received (chasing incomplete information from subcontractors etc)
- Checking the validity of all authorisations by using the Environment Agency website, downloading the confirmation webpage and adding this to the relevant authorisation
- Adding waste contractor details and associated authorisations to SMARTWaste
- Assigning authorisations to projects as required
- Contacting waste facilities to obtain recycling rates and keeping these up to date for all waste destinations
- Checking waste carrier registration certificates for expiry and obtaining new copies
- Manage the timber contractor database

- Ensuring that received copies of chain of custody certificates are legible
- Checking validity of chain of custody on the FSC or PEFC websites, downloading the confirmation webpage and adding this to the chain of custody certificate
- Uploading details of timber suppliers to SMARTWaste and assigning them to projects
- Checking chain of custody certificates for expiry and obtaining new copies
- Manage the subcontractor database

- Adding subcontractor details to SMARTWaste
- Assigning subcontractors to projects as required
- Check all project waste data for accuracy on a monthly basis (time consuming)
- On an ongoing basis, check that each project is completing an 'ongoing review' every three
- months
- On an ongoing basis, check that each project has recorded a post-completion review within
- one month of the project finishing
- On an ongoing basis, answer project queries with respect to data entry, etc
- Conduct site visits / inspections as required
- Strong administrative experience
- Must be IT literate with understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Numerate & Literate
- Efficient and professional approach with the ability to multi-task
- Possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- General willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic and flexible
- Able to work as an individual and as part of a team
