Dutton Recruitment are seeing a Site Foreman for work based in Northamptonshire.

Due to fast growth in the construction sector, our client is looking for an experienced Site Foreman to join their team. You will be accountable for the practical delivery of the construction phase on-site, liaising with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Sub-Contractors and other Trades, co-ordinating all aspects of the works to ensure the project is completed in line with all specifications (i.e.: quality, budget, programme and H&S).

Planning

  • with Construction Manager review in detail the Construction Phase Plan (resource, schedule & timings, risk register) ready for on-site implementation

H&S

  • Ensure that AMJ H&S policy is understood and strictly adhered to for all work carried out on site
  • Carry out and record the daily H&S site inspection
  • Deliver mandatory safety toolbox meetings

Delivery

  • Instruct / organise workers and supervise construction activities to ensure that all works are carried out accurately, following plans and specifications and that all works are within current codes of practice, against quotation and to the required standard.
  • Scheduling work to be carried out to ensure production targets are achieved and high quality of product is maintained.

General

  • Have a good knowledge of building, material components, building regulations
  • Display key management skills - programming, planning and multi-tasking
  • Have good negotiation, influencing and communication skills; well-spoken and personable; able to effectively manage a team
  • Strong analytical, numerical, literacy and reasoning abilities
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Confident, resourceful and practical
  • Maintain a professional, consistent and fair approach
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team
  • Ability to motivate and manage staff

Experience Required

  • SSSTS, First Aid and CSCS Manager/Supervisor card
  • 5 years' experience in a Site Foreman / Supervisors role
  • UK Driving Licence - A Van and Fuel card are included in the package
