Do you have a Civil or Structural Engineering Degree? If you are a Structural Engineer, particularly if you have specialised in timber engineering, we want to hear from you.
Senior Structural Engineer required by a major supplier of specialist Engineered Wood Products to fulfil a managerial role.
The company provides expertise in Cross-Laminated Timber construction from design concept to on-site completion; they have a collaborative working approach with the whole project team which enables them to develop sustainable and cost effective structural solutions when involved at the earliest stages of the design process. Their projects are always a little different and quirky as you would expect from CLT, and their projects often receive significant press attention.
Key Requirements:
:: Degree qualified in Structural Engineer - ideally with a Timber focus
:: Ambition to become chartered or already chartered
:: Able to manage a team of Engineers, Designers and CAD technicians
:: Ability to produce detailed structural calculations
:: Knowledge of Eurocode 5
:: Softwares - AutoCAD, Revit or any other specialist software
You will be working in a great environment, which is closer to that of an Architects' practise rather than a construction company and in a relaxed yet business-like atmosphere and a strong focus on its people. There are very few lines of demarcation and your ideas will count. The beautiful offices themselves are in a central London location convenient for mainline rail and tube links and near several Cycle Hire Docking Stations.
