Plant and Logistics Co-ordinator Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a
Plant and Logistics Co-ordinator based in Norwich, who will report to the Logistics Manager. The role will oversee the Plant and Procurement of the Anglian Water contract by generating material orders, procuring spares and maintaining database information, providing technical assistance, Plant coordination, system auditing and information dissemination.
Your key responsibilities will consist of:
Coordinate revenue, costs and cash flow within delegated authorities
Support the development and implementation of commercial/area strategies
Support the assessment of staff to ensure capacity, capability and competency are maintained
Establish and maintain relationships with the client by delivering improved value to the client and company
Manage communications and relationships with stakeholders (customers, contractors, sub-contractors),
Manage relationships with stakeholders during pre-contract and fulfilment phases.
Ensure the timely input, accuracy and maintenance of data within business systems
Support and facilitate the project teams to fulfil contracts safely, on time, and to the required quality while minimising costs
Establish the requirements for internal, external and scheduled resources
Make arrangements to ensure that drivers comply with Domestic Drivers' hours and/or EU Tachograph rules
Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive legislation
Assist in carrying out thorough RTI (Road Traffic Incidents) investigations
Ensure all drivers are fully inducted and that authorisation checks are carried out as scheduled
Assist SHE with investigations into serious non-compliance
Ensure that the vehicles and plant are maintained properly, including the inspection of vehicles at the appropriate time and that there is an up-to-date scheduled maintenance planner
Ensure all dangerous goods are packed, labelled and carried in accordance with International Regulations.
Assist in implement arrangements to ensure that vehicles are not overloaded
Ensure that vehicles carry all relevant transport and plant compliant documentation
Ensure that consistent company standards are delivered across all Operators Licences
Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous experieance in a similar role and must hold a current Operation License Awareness Training Certificate
Experience dealing robustly with drivers and management who fail to comply with legislation and Company requirements
Must have held a full EU Driving Licence
Working knowledge of current transport legislation
Excellent administration skills
Experience of or ability/willingness to supervise drivers undertaking daily vehicle checks
