Our client is urgently recruiting an ambitious individual to join as a trainee construction manager, working alongside the management team to learn the key skills of managing large scale construction projects and attain an industry recognised qualification at the same time. The successful candidate will receive on-going training and on the job mentoring so that they can play an important role clients future growth and development.
As an aspiring Construction Manager, day to day you will assist with instructing our skilled workforce, maintain key records of site activities and ensure works are carried out safely to the company's Health and Safety procedures. You will join the varied line-up of construction professionals who make up the site supervisory and management teams responsible for the delivery of projects. You will be part of a team that turns plans into reality, ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely and on-target. You will be taught to play an important role in managing health and safety on sites, as well looking after the environment. You will be passionate about working with people whom we see as key to delivering successful projects.
You will be given suitable instruction and training to enable you to:
Become an active member of the site management team
Develop an understanding of construction skills, terminology and methodology
Assist with co-ordination of site logistics
Understand importance of working alongside the client and sub-contractors
Other elements as deemed relevant to your role and level of your development
Gain a formal qualification in Construction Management
You will possess current relevant health & safety and site management qualifications (although our client is always prepared to improve the skills and qualifications of all their employees).
Our client is one of the leading new home developers in Lincolnshire. They enjoy an enviable reputation for building quality new homes on attractive well designed developments varying in size from c30 units up to 500 units.
The company continues to grow in a planned and sustainable way, and we are looking to appoint an experienced, driven and ambitious Site Manager to help them deliver their expansion plans, and meet customer expectations.
Required experience:
* Site Management
* Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or SSSTS for Assistants
* Competent in Timber Frame Construction
* Competent in Traditional Construction
* First Aid at work Qualification (3 Day)
* CSCS card holder (Black Site Managers CSCS preferred)
* Must hold a full valid UK driving license
