An opportunity has arisen for permanent Compliance & Performance Surveyor for our Grimsby based Client. This is a full time position over 37 hour per week working at our clients' Grimsby Office Predominantly.
The role will be responsible for ensuring contract and statutory health and safety compliance for asset related functions across the Property Services directorate. The role will also be responsible for carrying out quality assurance and compliance checks as required by the Compliance Manager.

The post holder will be responsible for:

* Undertaking inspections/surveys of building and cyclical maintenance work to ensure compliance with contracts and legislative requirements;
* Ensuring that the organisation keeps accurate records of compliance related information, such as but not limited to Asbestos, Fire Risk, Gas Safety, Legionella, Mechanical and Electrical safety
inspections etc.;
* To develop and monitor inspection and work programmes to ensure that inspections, tests and works are completed within required timeframes; and specified/statutory standards.
* Completing and maintaining a programme of risk assessments.
* Act as lead surveyor for compliance-related contracts such as asbestos surveying and removals.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. To act as the Deputy Responsible Person for Water Hygiene, providing support in managing all related risks and processes in the absence of the Responsible Person.
2. Responsible for pro-actively monitoring compliance-related testing, inspection and work programmes to ensure that Shoreline is compliant with Health & Safety requirements at all times.
3. To take immediate action to resolve any areas of non-compliance by arranging inspections or works as required with the in-house team and/or contractors.
4. To manage the process for obtaining up-to-date certification and ensure that follow-on actions are implemented in all areas of asset related risk and safety.
5. To ensure that all I.T. systems used to manage compliance issues are consistently kept up to date.
6. Responsible for undertaking inspections to ensure that all works undertaken on behalf of Shoreline are compliant with all legislative, contract and corporate requirements.
7. Responsible for undertaking quality assurance inspections, including risk assessments, asbestos surveys and asbestos removals, accurately logging all issues found, and liaising with
contractors to promptly resolve.
8. To issue non-compliance notifications to contractors and internal teams and enforce such notifications until minimum acceptable levels of performance are met.
9. Carry out client side surveying activities for compliance related contracts such asbestos surveying and asbestos removals delivered by external contractors.
10. To respond to emergency compliance-related incidents, visiting site, liaising with customers, arranging any required works, liaising with other teams in Shoreline, keeping concise records of
the incident and actions taken, and working with the Compliance Manager to identify learning outcomes once resolved.
11. To undertake inspections and manage permission requests received from customers from the assessment of applications to post-inspection of works.
12. To assist the Compliance Manager in preparing for and participating in all audits of compliance areas.
13. Where necessary, prepare drawings, specifications and schedules of work and produce estimates and quotations by sourcing and collating all relevant costing information, to ensure all works
are complete to necessary and appropriate standards and budgets.
14. Maintains effective contractor management by negotiating and communicating on a regular basis to ensure effective progress, quality workmanship to ensure continuous achievement of
'best value'.
15. To ensure accurate collation of all appropriate and necessary information relating to Shorelines assets using latest technology and ensuring effective inputting to APEX or other information
system to enable Shoreline to maintain compliancy with Health & Safety related duties.
16. Where appropriate provide comprehensive periodic budget information and monitoring on a timely basis to enable accurate budget reporting, forecasting and planning.
17. Ensure all work is undertaken with the highest customer focused skills in line with Shorelines corporate objectives.
18. To contribute to reviews of service and carry out technical investigations, providing technical advice and feasibility studies for appropriate building projects ensuring compliance to
appropriate standards.
19. To keep up to date with technical issues and legislation and where necessary incorporate them into projects and service plans ensuring Shoreline is kept updated of its responsibilities and
duties.
20. To develop and maintain effective audit trails for Shoreline business information.
21. Assist in the correlation and production of performance data and ensure systems and process used are accurate and auditable in line with corporate policy.

Qualifications:
The postholder must hold, or be working towards a minimum of a HNC Qualification or equivalent in a building related subject. (E)

BOHS P901 - Legionella Management (D)
NEBOSH Fire & Risk or IFE Fire Risk Assessment Training (D)
