This is a great opportunity for a Trainee Engineer / Junior Toolmaker / Bench Fitter / Assembler working 2pm - 10pm in Coalville commutable from Leicester, Loughborough, Coalville, Nottingham, Derby.

  • The successful Trainee Engineer / Junior Toolmaker / Bench Fitter / Assembler will be working for an employer who
  • are an acknowledged world market leader in the development and manufacture of advanced special purpose machine tool systems.
  • provide turnkey solutions for the Aerospace and Land Based Gas Turbine industries; they achieve these solutions through innovative designs for individual or multiple machines up to automated machine tool cells that integrate with modern manufacturing production systems.
  • have a strong customer base including Rolls Royce and Siemens.

The Candidate

As the successful Trainee Engineer / Junior Toolmaker / Bench Fitter / Assembler any experience of the following would be advantageous but not essential:

  • Conventional manual machining - Surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, jig boring, milling, turning.
  • Sub assembly & bench fitting of precision tools.
  • Experience of CNC would be advantageous
  • Also required is:
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing methods
  • Good level of education
  • A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Seeking a position within a technically demanding and challenging environment
  • Being highly motivated, confident, and organised with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb technical information quickly and being able to perform tasks whilst under pressure
  • Effective communication skills
  • A good team player
  • A flexible approach to work along with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy
  • PC literate
