Kier Utilities (Western Power Distribution) is looking to recruit a Cable Recorder who will report to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be Responsible to clearly define the role and responsibilities of a Cable Recorder working on the WPD Contract.

  • To maintain confidentiality of information acquired in the course of undertaking duties for the company.
  • Ensure each depots Internal KPI data is complete by the 2nd working day of the following mont
  • Liaise with WPD operational staff, Highways Authority, Customers and general public.
  • Develop new and improve existing systems to aid the effective management of the contract.
  • Keep up to date with current client KPI and performance on contract review meetings.
  • To give advice on technical issues.
  • Manage recording cables being laid.
  • Flexibility to undertake other duties as required.
  • Working with other Kier Sectors.
  • Ensure all H&S compiled with.
  • Attend monthly Kier area meetings.
  • To understand Kier operation and management systems.
  • To work within and part of a team
  • Reporting to local depot
    • Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • CSCS Card.
  • Effective Time management.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand numerical and statistical information.
  • Valid UK driving licence
