We are working with a manufacturer of Modular factory manufactured solutions to both the rental and permanent building market sectors. Their reputation for delivering high quality value for money solutions across a variety of market sector is founded on the way they deliver design and build projects by challenging the norm, finding innovative ways of working and utilizing modern method construction to deliver innovative design and delivery solutions for their customers.

With over 45 years' experience in the rental of superior quality modular accommodation systems and associated services, to their customers, no matter which their needs are: additional office space, more secure storage, a Health Centre, an extra classroom, etc.

As Technical Representative, you will be responsible for providing technical advice to customers and ensuring installations are completed as per the plans. You will be the pivotal link between branches, transport, support services and customers to ensure that their requirements are fully met in relation to installations.

Reporting the Project Manager you will have functional relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including the Regional Director, Regional Service Manager, Site Manager, Transport and Service Supervisors. You will also be working closely with other support functions including other branches, central hire and the regional administration team.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Providing customers with technical advice
  • Carrying out site-specific surveys alongside your clients, for both installations and collections
  • Preparing all necessary documentation, including Lifting Plans and RAMS (Method Statements and Risk Assessments will be specific for each site) although you will also be preparing generic method statements as necessary
  • Working on the running order and programme of works for Transport, Support Services and the Installation Team
  • Tracking production of cabins at the factories with request visits, ensuring all customer requirements are identified and avoiding any issues with installation
  • Site Attendance to ensure all is in place for smooth operation of works
  • Identifying snags and liaising with the Support Services team to correct all snags before handover
  • Confirming Certificates of Completion and snagging lists are completed and signed by customer ready for use
  • Preparing cost control sheets to allow comparison between quotations and real cost - highlighting any issues on quote
  • Preparing job reports for each job including non-conformities, actions and lessons learned and sharing with team members
  • Managing all aspects of Subcontractors on site (including Quality, H&S, cost and programme)

About You

  • Appointed Person for Lifting Operations
  • First hand knowledge of Lorry Loaders
  • Great Communicator with customer facing industry experience and experienced team player
  • Good IT skills
  • Hold a current UK driving licence

The above are essential requirements, but ideally you will also have qualifications in all or some of the following:

  • Slinger/ Signaller
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • SSSTS
