We are working with a fantastic college in Kent who are looking for a Technical Estates Officer for an immediate start. Looking to interview immediately, this role is for approximately 2 - 3 months, with an hourly rate of £8.50 per hour plus holiday pay.
Role responsibilities
To be the centres technician and support learners completing technical tasks within a practical workshop setting, working alongside a qualified lecturer leading the class.To undertake building security, porterage, cleaning and maintenance work.To be the Health & Safety Rep for the centre, including the carrying out of risk assessments.
To undertake security patrols during the working day as required and carry out of hours' security duties as required and being the key the key holder for the centreTo be the Health & Safety Rep for the centre, including the carrying out of risk assessment
To be the first aider for the centre
To undertake duties required around unlocking and locking up of buildings and setting of alarms.
To complete General security of all College premises and assist with the safeguarding of all students, staff and visitors
The person & qualifications
Previous experience of a least 2 year of carrying out building maintenance within the construction industry.
Working knowledge of Health & Safety (fire, electricity, manual handling etc)
General experience of security duties
Building maintenance tasks and basic repairs-Previous experience of a least 2 year of carrying out building maintenance within the construction industry.
