Kier leads the eMBED Health Consortium and delivers services to NHS in Yorkshire and Humber. The consortium provides a range of commissioning support services including ICT, business intelligence, and procurement supporting the region's CCGs, who are responsible for putting in place healthcare services to meet the needs of people across the Yorkshire and Humber region. eMBED also delivers services to NHS England and other NHS organisations in the region, which includes the delivery of ICT services to the region's GP practices.
Our Business Intelligence (BI) Service supports organisations through each stage of the commissioning cycle; providing access to high calibre analytical staff who transfer data and information into key insights and knowledge. We are currently recruiting a Business Intelligence Manager which is one of the roles critical to our success. An essential requirement of the role is to have specialised analytical skills, but of equal importance is the ability to communicate the outcome of your work with others, think creatively around problems, and work to strict, often pressured deadlines where there is no room for error. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Introduce and ensure rigorous compliance to team processes that are predicated on effective and efficient working and excellent customer service.
- Provide clear guidance and leadership for members of the BI team under your management ensuring best practice is applied throughout the team.
- Review and re-engineer existing BI Team processes and practices to create a responsive, flexible, proactive and excellent service to Customers.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for information from customers. This will require a thorough analysis of the information requirement and the subsequent retrieval and reconciliation of any data.
- Work with customers to determine requirements and priorities for analysis, reporting and BI support, with the ability to interpret vague or loosely defined requests into clear specifications, deliverables and KPIs.
- Ensure the efficient and effective management of the production and development of detailed analytical reports to assess the financial impact and associated risks relating to changes in national commissioning frameworks.
