The Role - Mechanical Design Engineer - HVAC
The role of Mechanical Design Engineer will be varied, interesting and demanding. The role has been created due to the expansion of my clients product range, this role will enable you to join a busy and highly motivated engineering team.
The Client:
My client, manufacture and supply in excess of 450 high quality products both in the UK and overseas.The products are produced under a World Class quality system accredited to ISO9001 ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained. Due to expansion of their product range an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer with HVAC experience to join a busy and highly motivated engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
To design and develop new products providing suitable production information for their manufacture and upkeep
To estimate, design, modify and build products in line with the Company's Product Development Procedure maintaining specification, estimated costs and timeframes
To provide technical information to assist in the generation of technical manuals
To train internal and external staff/customers on related products
To provide technical information and answer technical questions from any source within or outside of the company.
The Right Person
To apply for this Mechanical Design Engineer position you will have a University Degree in a mechanical based engineering subject that included modules in Maths, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer as well as the following:
Previous HVAC design experience
Be familiar with and understand manufacturing techniques such as turning, milling, fabrication and folded sheet metal.
Familiar with both 2D and 3D packages
Have a thorough understanding of correct presentation of engineering drawings including surface finishes, limits fit and tolerances
Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge linked to a sound understanding of experimental engineering and experiment design.
Be able to perform design calculations
