This specialist lift engineering company repair, refurbish and modernise all types of lifts in the lift industry Nationwide.
In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing multiple teams across the business including repairs, modernisation, sales and finance departments.
You will do this by ensuring that all departments are running as efficiently as possible, achieving targets (cost effectively) so that the operations deliver products on time and budget.
The ideal candidate will have management experience whilst working in a lift engineering environment. Or would have worked up the ladder from the tools with relevant engineering qualifications.
Operations Manager:
Ensure modernisation's and repairs works are completed on time delivering the optimum levels of customer service at all times.
Regularly assess the performance of engineers on site
Lead the day to day operational and logistical activities of all departments
Improve efficiency of the operations and ensure KPI's are achieved
Liaising directly with senior management team and key stakeholders including project managers and sales teams.
Running a team of 10 - Communicating to all contractors and subcontractors for there lifting requirements
Organise meetings with various companies for contract lifts required, as well as produce all relevant paperwork required
Supervising and managing projects from start to finish
Work with suppliers to ensure correct equipment is delivered on site effectively
Completion of site surveys to determine what lift engineering is required.
Technically minded - electrically, mechanically and hydraulics
A confident, people person for this customer facing role, able to communicate at all levels
A competent, quick thinking individual able to investigate, diagnose and advise both Engineers and customers with product and industry mastery
The Person:
Management experience in a building/ construction materials or similar background
Able to commute to Buckinghamshire, commutable from Rugby, Gloucester, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Luton, Bedford, Leicester, Birmingham
