Work Co-ordinator

 Location: Reading
Contract: Thames Water
Working pattern: 7:30-16:00, Thursday- Monday
To provide certainty of delivery of repair work through planning, monitoring and scheduling of work in a timely, efficient manner to our repair teams. To also provide in-day support and scheduling for emergency works. As part of the work management, you will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the execution of work within the Service Management Centre (SMC). You will be required to:
  • Plan jobs and allocate to R&M teams
  • Assign jobs to R&M teams in SWMS/Click
  • Circulate Whereabouts to Supervisors
  • Review/update permit conditions
  • Complete housekeeping activities
  • Raise NST tickets for support with planned R&M work
  • Customer call backs
  • Monitor gantt (Scheduling software)
  • Manage completion and allocation of e-digs and reactive works in-day, including related housekeeping/ permit updates
  • Notifying Supervisors of changes to schedule
  • Raise emergency NST tickets
  • Complete handover
  • To support your team where necessary and be flexible with areas of working
  • Utilise business guidelines to support jeopardy management activities in-day, in order to prioritise completion of repair work.
    • Skills, qualifications, experience
  • Understanding of the Clean Water network preferable
  • IT literate and able to learn new software quickly
  • Planning skills and Scheduling management, an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet demanding targets
  • Ability to multi task
