Protocol are working with a fantastic college in Stevenage to recruit a Construction Technician. The role calls for a dedicated individual with the necessary experience, skills and personal qualities to establish immediate close working relationships with young people and the tutor team. Role responsibilities
Demonstration and support for tutor delivery
Preparation of workshops and equipment for lecturer/student use.
Maintenance of workshops/equipment, including maintaining stock and identifying suppliers required for new purchasing, and to diagnose and repair faulty equipment as appropriate
To set up/pre-test apparatus/equipment/assessments for lecturers and be familiar with the appropriate safety procedures and regulations
Ability to handle caustic, corrosive and toxic substances and be familiar with the appropriate safety procedures
Driving and towing of vehicles
The person & qualifications
Level 2 in literacy and numeracy
Level 2 qualification in the specified subject area
Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or within 12 months (or be willing to apply for one)
Must be able to drive and in the UK
