Title: Customer Liaison Officer

6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary and benefits: Competitive Salary, Company Van, 26 days Annual Leave, matched pension, x 2 share schemes, over 800 retail benefits, ability to Buy up to 5 days holiday.

Location: Hatfield, with regional travel involved including to Folkestone and Dover.

Business area: Utilities - Affinity Water

Introduction:

You will be responsible for delivering and supporting others to achieve excellent customer service on behalf of ourselves and the client (Affinity Water), whilst ensuring that our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction is protected and enhanced before, during and after delivery of works. This role will champion the needs of all customers and proactively manage them to minimise unwanted contacts and complaints. As part of a small dynamic team you will work with multiple stakeholders and no two days will be the same in this fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Effectively deal with all customer issues
  • Deal with all customer chases and repeat contacts ensuring customer issues do not turn into customer complaints
  • Gather information, investigate and resolve complaints from customers
  • Escalate any customer care performance issues to Customer Care Manager
  • Ensure that customer engagement process is adhered to in a manner appropriate for the scheme or job in question
  • Proactively manage sensitive interactions when liaising with sensitive customer groups
  • Carry out Customer audits (if required)

    • Skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience of working within a customer service environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • IT literate (working knowledge of Outlook and Office Suite)
  • Pleasant and friendly manner, able to remain calm when dealing with angry customers
  • Be able to work in a team or under your own supervision and initiative
