Would you like to be involved as a key member of the manufacturing team ensuring maximum output for the company?

You will be a part of a market leading business with a group turnover of around £200M. As part of a busy planning and production department you will be responsible for supporting the output of this high volume leading timber frame manufacturer. With your existing knowledge of plant and machinery you can hit the ground running as a key member of this team.

The role:

  • Work alongside the maintenance manager in developing and maintain the budget of the service and maintenance
  • Analysing the current equipment against future requirements
  • Main key holder for out of hours for example emergency and security issues
  • Be a part of the planning and production departments making sure all schedules for service and plant maintenance are aligned and current to forecast the production requirements
  • Liaise with other departments including production staff and producing ideas for improving the process of the production equipment.


What will you need?

  • Solid understanding of data networks utilising Fibre and UTP/STP cable solutions
  • Previous experience with a variety of PLC control systems and PC based controls, including legacy systems.
  • Time served engineer with a background with Electrical or Mechanical background
  • Good working knowledge in using and developing SCADA systems and HMI programming
  • Experience with industrial data connection and OPC solutions (eg Kepware)
  • Previous experience of implementing scheduled software patch updates to industrial PCs
  • Ability to plan and develop facility upgrades to plant, equipment and machinery
  • Familiar with Servo drives and frequency inverters to control process motor speeds
