Design Manager required to lead a small team of Designers (ranging from Trainees to highly-experienced Designers and Technicians) working for a well-established Timber Frame Manufacturer, taking responsibility for all design aspects of the projects:

  • Budgets
  • Risk management
  • Coordinating design information
  • Liaising with external Consultants and Suppliers as well as Site teams during the installation/construction phase
  • Ensuring compliance with Planning, NHBC, Building Control etc


Do you have:

  • Proven timber frame design experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and a desire to produce quality work
  • Good working knowledge of Scottish Building Regulations, Building Standards, NHBC standards and CDM Regulations
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and any industry design software experience would also be of interest although not essential
  • Ability to lead and motivate your team
