The Role: To ensure that all escalator repair works and modernisations are completed efficiently on various sites on your assigned route whilst providing a high quality of customer service. This Modernisation Engineer based out of the South West. Covering the South West you'll primarily be tasked on the modernisation and repairs of escalators. This role would suit an NVQ level 3 Engineer based locally to Milton Keynes or Bristol. Key Responsibilities:

Work in a safe manner in accordance with all Health & Safety Guidelines, including but not limited to method statements and employee safety handbook;
Maintain safety standards;
Complete repairs and modernisation on escalators as required by the plan or local management team;
Responsible for efficiency by utilising the best tools and methods and by ensuring the hours spent on repairs are in line with Company-identified targets;
Achieve all Service Excellence standards.
Control planning and completion of own jobs;
Participate in Out of Hours call-out rota.
Demonstrate a good level of commercial awareness;
Proactive job management and control;
Provide technical support to team members

Experienced Escalator engineer (NVQ level 3 mandatory)
5 years of minimum experience industry experience essential
Installation / Repairs / Modernisations or Service background on escalators
Technical ability to fault-find essential
Previous experience of on-call work preferred
Strong communication and rapport skills are essential
Results-oriented with the ability to prioritise workload
Knowledgeable on basic fundamentals on all types of escalators
Characteristics: hard working, reliable, good time management skills, customer service, team player
