We are looking to recruit a Learning Skills Coach for the Mechanical Engineering department.

As a Learning Skills Coach you will be required to coach, mentor, deliver and assess Mechanical Engineering students, you will also be responsible for delivering the knowledge required for the relevant qualification to Apprentices in the workplace.


Role responsibilities
*You will be required to deliver and assess up to level 3 Mechanical Engineering students including Fabrication & Welding
*Deliver the college standards and meet any quality performance indicators and targets.
*Deliver consistently good or better learning outcomes and progress through employing an effective variety of learning methods, skills development, coaching and mentoring.
*Participate in the development, planning and delivery of a range of standards, frameworks and programmes within your curriculum area.
*Apply and reference relevant initial and diagnostic assessment, ensure the learner has an appropriate individual learning plan, with associated support that meets their needs.

The person & qualifications
*You must have previous experience delivering/assessing level 3 Mechanical Engineering students.
*You must hold an Assessor and/or Verifier award
*You must hold a formal teaching qualification
*A valid DBS on the Update Service would be an advantage
*Recent industrial experience (last 3 years) in a relevant occupational setting
*Experience of delivering Employer Responsive programmes including Apprenticeships, with high levels of success
*Knowledge of the relevant occupational standards
*You must hold a minimum level 2 English and Maths qualifications
*Full driving licence and use of a car
