Our Property team in London is looking for a Head of Sales role to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up the Sales and Marketing team and leading the sales, marketing and PR strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day leadership and management of the Sales and Marketing team and budget
  • Ensuring that Team's business plan targets are reached and where possible, exceeded
  • Produce reports/attend meetings as required with senior management to provide updates on forecasts, budgets, personnel and any other business critical points
  • Review and input ideas on residential layouts, mix, specification etc to ensure that value engineering takes place for all residential schemes during the early design phase and prior to launch and that they are market facing; in conjunction, liaise with the Development Teams to provide input to appraisal reports as required and assist in finalising layouts, specification and pricing analysis for each scheme
  • Commission, oversee and review the development/delivery of all marketing collateral for each scheme, to include marketing suites, models, photography, film, advertising, creative, brochures, hoardings, signage, direct mail, online creative, awards submissions, newsletters, web pages and portals etc
  • Design, implement and continuously monitor appropriate sales and marketing strategies for each scheme, including KPI's, analysing what works and what needs developing, either operationally or commercially, including:
  • Provision of relevant market research, definition of target markets and development of optimal pricing models
  • Recruit, manage and develop appropriate sales and marketing teams, both via internal delivery and via external agency or consultancy delivery
  • Oversee all related legal processes, including the development of legal sales packs and sales contracts, through selecting and managing panel solicitors, to managing completion
  • Responsibility for the management of sales launches in the UK or international markets, as appropriate, and ensuring that the overall design and presentation of all sales environments and marketing campaigns/materials are appropriate and in line with brand guidelines and legislative requirements
  • Create marketing and PR strategies for pre-launch, launch and post-launch eras, consistent with the overall business strategy
  • Ensuring that Independent Financial Advice is available on all live sites to expedite the conveyancing process for customer
  • Liaison with, and management of, customer service functions, including after-sales, in order to enhance the reputation of the company and build a development brand built on customer satisfaction
Essential Criteria:

  • Substantial experience of the development process and all relevant regulatory requirements, with thorough knowledge of New Homes sales in mixed use, multi-phased and multi-unit regeneration projects
  • A proven track record in a similar role, or at least at the level of Senior Sales and Marketing Manager, with significant experience in leading sales and marketing across multiple schemes
  • Good communicator, numerical and strong organisational skills, with good awareness of IT and CRM systems; preferably educated to degree level


Previous Experience:

  • Interpreting and enhancing plans and drawings
  • Managing budgets, cost control, and planning, prioritising and organising work streams to meet targets
  • Team management and motivating staff towards results delivery, including specialist areas serviced via external agencies or consultancies
  • Successfully organising and launching new product to the market, including running overseas sales exhibitions, as required
  • The entire conveyancing process, from the development of legal sales packs and sales contracts, through selecting and managing panel solicitors, to managing completions
  • Good knowledge and experience of the affordable housing market.
