*Get on the fast track to becoming a teacher*
Up to £2,000 recruitment and retention bonus.
Protocol are delighted to offer this opportunity for a motor vehicle mechanic to establish a career in delivering further education.
The right candidate will have experience of vehicle fitting, maintenance and repair and will use their first-hand knowledge to inspire, support and train the future generation of mechanics!
Our Partner in Barnsley recognises the value of practical industry experience and is seeking a trades-person with a broad knowledge of the sector to be a mentor for Post-16 learners studying their Motor Vehicle related apprenticeships. Full teacher training will be provided, making this the perfect opportunity for candidates who are keen to engage with the younger generation of professionals but have no prior experience in the education sector.
You will begin on a salary of £20,500-£22,500 supporting other lecturers and the lecturer salary scale goes up to £28,159 per annum once you have sufficient qualifications and experience. The college also has an ethos of growing their own talent and lecturing is only the beginning of a clear progression structure to course leader and above.
